Campfire Concerts At Historic Fort Concho

San Angelo, Texas

May – September, 2005

Fort Concho

Fort Concho is presenting is 7th annual series of Campfire Concerts May through September. Cowboys have always held a special place in the hearts and imagination of Americans.

Whether it’s the image of the cowboys driving longhorns from Texas to Kansas or those wearing white hats, playing guitars and singing on the silver screen, both evoke a sense of pride and respect of the western lifestyle.

It was customary that at the end of the day, the cowboys would gather around a chuck wagon telling tales and singing after a hard day in the saddle. Fort Concho and Wrangler Productions are please to continue this western tradition through its family oriented concert series by bringing some of the very best traditional and contemporary western artists to this quaint venue. Concert patrons will relive the days of the cowboys through music, poetry and story telling.
